Providing Support, Hope, and Healing for Survivors of Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence during COVID-19

Did you know that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are survivors of sexual trauma? April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and due to physical distancing, many survivors are experiencing current dangers as well as severe anxiety, depression and other emotional aftermaths from past trauma. This moment of isolation to mitigate the spread of the virus has significant consequences including many domestic abuse and childhood sexual abuse survivors being trapped with the abusers. Therefore, we are asking for a little help from YOU during this critical time.

WHEN:  Launching April 23rd, 2020 at 12pm PST.

WHO:  Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment (PAVE) is launching the #AloneButNotAlone Campaign in partnership with the National Organization for Victim Assistance, Awareness Into Action, Voices In Action and Hope, Healing and Transformation, along with celebrity talent, influencers, and individuals around the globe.

WHERE: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc

WHAT: We are asking all participants to post their own personal contribution of the below various sample options to their social media of choosing in their own words. Additionally, we are encouraging everyone to go live on Instagram to discuss their personal experiences with each other and share messages of hope with their audience. This will seriously amplify the positive impact.

WHY: You have the power to send a message of hope and support to survivors of sexual assault worldwide by participating in the #AloneButNotAlone campaign. You can help by posting a message of hope to survivors on your social media to prevent survivors from feeling alone during this quarantine and possibly seek help if needed.
