Survivor Stories
What is the Survivor Stories Campaign?
Our Survivor Stories campaign is a way for survivors everywhere to share their experience with trauma. These stories are featured on the PAVE website as well as PAVE social media. Survivor Stories is a safe place to open up about things that may be hard to share with family and friends.
Something that is important to us about this campaign is that survivors have the opportunity to share as little or as much as they choose about both their story and their identity. It is important to us here at PAVE that survivors have power over themselves, their story, and their healing journey, and that includes the right to be selective about what, and how, they choose to disclose.
-
To present their stories, survivors can use their full name, a pseudonym, include only their first name or choose to remain anonymous.
-
We accept stories from survivors of sexual or domestic violence, as well as human trafficking. We also accept stories from those in the lives of survivors, such as loved ones and first responders.
-
Survivors can share in whatever way they feel comfortable, whether that is recording an audio message, making a video, writing it out or just simply presenting a photo of themselves.
-
You must be 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
